JG Afrika upgrades Lindela Creche

JG Afrika (Pty) Ltd, an engineering and environmental consultancy, was established in 1922 as Jeffares & Green, and rebranded in 2016 to JG Afrika. The firm provides consulting services in all fields of civil and structural engineering, as well as environmental services. Proudly independent, proudly South African and proud to service Africa, JG Afrika has built a strong reputation for offering innovative and sustainable engineering and environmental consulting services of the highest quality, for the benefit of the community and the environment.

JG Afrika is committed to the furtherance of education for children. To this end, the JG Afrika PMB branch reached out to the Children in Distress Network (CINDI) to identify an educational organisation in need of assistance. The Lindela Crèche, a community crèche based in Vulindlela, schools 65 children between the ages of 0-7 years old. In a bid to make a positive impact on the most children possible, the creche was decided upon as the recipient of the JG Afrika CSI initiative for 2018. Following a site visit,  the crèche was identified as requiring certain structural and aesthetic  upgrades as well as the provision of educational toys, books, puzzles etc.  JG Afrika employees donated various goods to the crèche as well as volunteering to undertake some manual labour to implement the various structural and aesthetic upgrades required. The result was the transformation of two rooms into colourful, productive and fun classrooms (with a patriotic twist) which will hopefully serve the children’s learning needs exceptionally well! A great day was had by all, and the JG Afrika staff are proud to have been involved in such a worthwhile cause.
